Kjell Redal - Founder, Creative Director
I founded Old Post to collaborate with clients and creatives in telling compelling stories about humans' connection to adventure and wild places. I come from a photojournalism background, having previously worked at The Seattle Times after studying the craft in college. I like to translate this journalistic approach into commercial and documentary work - seeking the truth of a story and telling it in an organic, straightforward style. I have my hands in most of Old Post's projects, but I'm lucky to work with fantastic long-time collaborators who come alongside me to make a piece shine.

THE PROCESS
first ideas
It all begins with ideas. We specify those ideas, then turn them into a visual story your target audience connects with. We shape plans around your unique brand goals, looking to build trust and transparency before any cameras roll.
then cameras
Once everyone is on the same creative page, we make a production plan. This is the where, when, how of the thing - and when it’s in motion, we got cable cams whizzing, interviews pulling heart strings, drones flying, and good times galore.
then computers
After we’re exhausted from shoot days, it’s off to the edit cave. This is where hours of footage assembly, sound design, and color grading shape our initial ideas into an impactful visual story. Old Post delivers for TV, web, socials, theaters, and more.
